100 Word Book Review:

TEN is a concise and straightforward fitness regime that the author Vincent Ng follows. Physical training is just a side of improvements, and nutrition, as well as rest, that needs to come into play too. Combining with the principles of nutrition, weight and cardiovascular exercise into a training system that will help you burn fat and build muscle in just ten weeks. There are pictorial instructions, as well as nice aesthetical and artistic photos of Vincent that indicates the type of targeted muscle groups for training. All these comes with hints and tips to work out effectively and efficiently.

Who Should Read:

Certainly those who are trying to achieve something physical in the life, those that are aiming for a change in fitness and to shape up. It is suitable for the busy working professionals who are looking for the shortest period of time to shape up. The book comes in physical and electronic form that help readers to carry it around conveniently for reference.

With nice pictures of Vincent Ng’s toned body, and exercise form and poises, this book inspires and motivates us to find the energy for change in just 10 weeks. Hence the title.

Who Should Not Read:

I would say that those who are already hitting the gym and have some knowledge of resistance and cardio exercises. Though the book gives good tips to improve one’s exercise forms, the regular gym users may have known already.

For myself, I refer mostly on the nutrition part, the meals to prepare and look out for.

Lastly, I think the gym goers who have reached a plateau might not find this book exceptionally useful. While the book is concise and summarised, regular gym goers may not find something that is revolutionary or motivating in this book to help them breakthrough.
