The Angry Garbage Man

I wonder what are the possibilities for this outbreak. It was a harmless garbage bin but he wrecked it after clearing out. All the pent-up frustrations!

And yes the mail box got to go too for it was prime witness to this outrage~!

~ A little more information on rechargable dehumidifier :

It is the size of an A5 book, weighting 300g. When the indicator on the dehumidifier is blue, place the unit in a suitable location.

The unit will  then take moisture from the surrounding area without electricity, (the unit will increase in weight as it gathers moisture). When the unit is full, the indicator window will become pink. Plug in the unit and recharge for 3 hours or until the indicator window returns to blue. The dehumidifier will be ready for use again.

The usage of the dehumidifier does not require electricity. Recharging the dehumidifier is to expel the moisture from the unit for reusage.

Economical and effective!

Top 10 Criminals In Singapore (#criminalwatch)

Well, this video depicts, in a funny way, the common crimes in Singapore. Yet on the other hand, I am sure that these crimes, petty or not, are common in other countries too.

The purpose of the video, sponsored by Singapore Police Force (i think), is to remind all that low crime does not mean no crime.

Video is done in a very Singaporean way, through the unique language: Singlish. 🙂

The Lost Army of Cambyses – Paul Sussman

The Lost Army of Cambyses - Paul Sussman
The Lost Army of Cambyses – Paul Sussman

In 523 BC, the Persian pharaoh Cambyses dispatched an army across Egypt’s western desert to destroy the oracle at Siwa. Legend has it that somewhere in the middle of the Great Dune Sea his army was overwhelmed by a sandstorm and lost forever. Two and a half millennia later a mutilated corpse is washed up on the banks of the Nile at Luxor, an antique dealer is savagely murdered in Cairo, and a British archaeologist is found dead at the ancient necropolis of Saqqara.

The incidents appear unconnected, but Inspector Yusuf Khalifa of the Luxor police is suspicious, as is the archaeologist’s daughter, Tara Mullray. Lured into a labyrinth of intrigue, violence, and betrayal by a mysterious hieroglyphic fragment and rumors of a mythic lost tomb, what began as a search for the truth becomes a race for survival. Confronted by both present day adversaries and ghosts from their pasts, Khalifa and Mullray find themselves on a trail that leads into the desert’s unforgiving, burning heart, and the answer to one of the greatest mysteries of the ancient world.

Caligula – Douglas Jackson

Caligula – Douglas Jackson
Caligula – Douglas Jackson
A major new historical epic in the tradition of Conn Iggulden combines impeccable research and historical detailing with the power and pace of a great thriller
As a young slave, Rufus grows up far from the corruption of Caligula’s imperial court where excess, huge building projects, the largest gladiatorial battles Rome was ever to see—men and animals killed in the hundreds—conspiracies, assassination attempts, and sexual scandal were the norm. But when Rufus’ growing reputation as an animal trainer and his friendship with Cupido, one of Rome’s greatest gladiators, attract the cruel gaze of the Emperor, Rufus is bought from his master and taken to the imperial palace as the keeper of the imperial elephant. Rufus soon sees that life here is dictated by Caligula’s ever shifting moods—he is as generous as he is cruel and he is a megalomaniac who declares himself a living god who simultaneously lives in constant fear of the plots against his life. But Caligula’s paranoia is not misplaced, and Rufus and Cupido find themselves unwittingly placed at the center of a conspiracy to assassinate the Emperor.
